Are you planning to buy new home in spring season? If yes, then this is the right time to start the ground work for the big mission. I have created a check list for home buyers. When you are doing window shopping for your house, refer to the following points.
□ Determine what your wants are and what your actual needs are.
□ What is your budget/What is your affordability?
□ Is your mortgage pre-approved?
□ Have you studied the neighbourhood?
□ Is it a new neighbourhood or already developed?
□ Do you see yourself living in that neighbourhood?
□ Are there well maintained parks nearby?
□ Does the school in that neighbourhood has good ranking?
□ Is there a shopping complex nearby?
□ What about bus service?
□ Focus on the house, not the owner
□ How old is the house?
□ What is the condition of roof and shingles? Do they need to be replaced?
□ Do you vision yourself living in that house?
□ Are Electrical fixtures intact and in working condition?
□ If you are allergic to pets, make sure that no pets have lived in that house.
□ If you like outdoors, then how big the backyard and lawn is? Will you be able to maintain it?
□ If you plan to go ahead with the deal, make sure to get it inspected thoroughly by home inspector.
These are few points that you should keep in mind while looking for house whether it is new or old. Buying house is a big move. So think about all the aspects before making final commitment. After all, its you who will be living in that house for years to come.
