Are you planning to sell your home in spring season? If yes, then this is the right time to start the ground work for the big mission. I have created a check list for home buyers. When you are doing window shopping for your house, refer to the following points.
Improving curb appeal: Tidy up your lawn. That will be probably the first thing a home buyer will set his/her eyes on. Mow your lawn, fix dead patches on the grass, add some fertilizer, and pull out all the weeds as they can be a sore for the eye. If possible, try planting some nice new flowers. Thy will give a touch of freshness to your lawn. Flowers like daffodils and tulips are a good choice, because yellow is associated with feelings of optimism and happiness. Have the street view of your home clear by removing/trimming any large bushes or branches of the trees
If your pocket allows, hire a professional gardener who can give a professional touch to your lawn.
Paint your house: Colour your house with nice bright colours; they can cheer up the atmosphere. Complement the linens of your house with spring colours. A fresh coat of light, pale paint can also bring out the best in your home by making spaces seem larger.
De-clutter your house: Try to clear up the clutter in your house. Since you have planned to sell your house, it’s the right time to start removing things that you have not used for long (almost a year) and stack them away. If you plan to keep them, then pack them and stack them away safely. If you don’t see yourself using them, then simply donate them. Someone else might be able to use it.
And the most important, choose the realtor with whom you want to work. Start planning and working on minute details of your house, get a comparative market analysis of your house and set the selling price of your house. So, start ready to sell your house. This is the right time.
