As summer ends and fall season comes our way, bright color begins to fill the landscape with bright coloured leaves making beautiful scene around you. No doubt, the beauty of nature is very appealing, but it also brings lots of work for you. Lots of work! Here’s a to-do list for you to have a worry free winter.
Check Your Roof
Make sure to do a thorough check up of the roof of the house. Make sure there are no fall leaves accumulated on the roof as they can lead to blocking of water passage. If you are comfortable doing any minor changes that are needed in the shingles, then take time to do them. This will prevent from any major damages. Make sure to get them fixed/replaced permanently when weather is good. Take help from professional for sure
Clean Your Gutters
Make sure that the gutters are debris free. If there is any clutter blocking the gutters, get those cleaned out before the temperature drops. Inspecting your outside door and window frames could save you some money this winter.
Drain Sprinklers
Drain your sprinkler during fall. You don’t want water sitting in your sprinkler lines all winter. As the water freezes and thaws, it could and will likely damage your sprinkler lines.
Store Equipment
Store your yard material (lawn care material) properly. If you have a garage or shed, this task is fairly easy. Just make sure you’ve drained any gas from your gas-powered equipment. Make sure to keep all your equipment in proper form- sharpen the blades of any equipment.
Proper fall maintenance can keep your equipment and home running smoothly through winter and into spring. It just takes a little preparation on your part. Take this to-do list and add it to your honey-do list to keep peace in your home. Doing that should keep your family safe and happy as the seasons change.
Clean your yard
The pile of leaves that accumulate in your backyard is very tempting. I know you love to play with your kids in that huge pile of fall leaves. But make sure to rake those leaves and dispose them off in the right way you want your yard looking inviting when spring arrives.
