Photographs of Competition On the pious occasion of Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji, Teamkbsingh had organized a written competition on November 17th, 2013 at (Halton Sikh Cultural Association) Oakville Gurudwara. The response from the residents of Oakville, Milton and Burlington was overwhelming. I was touched to see how children were keen to participate in the contest. Almost 30 children had participated in the event. According to the participants; it was a learning experience for them and told that they will love to participate in such events. The winners of the contest were also felicitated for their achievement. The prize distribution ceremony took place in presence of premier of Ontario Kathleen Wayne and other dignitaries. I will again like to congratulate these children for all the hard work that they have done to participate in the event. We cannot forget the teachers and parents who are instrumental in motivating kids to participate this event. I also want to thank the management of Oakville Gurudwara for the support that they have extended to organize this event. It was a small effort from our team to keep children connected to their roots. God willing, we will come again with another event to keep our kids connected with their roots.
